First Trip to Church!!

I think it is a miracle, but we actually made it to church this morning. I still have a hard time managing time at times because Easton can be a bit unpredictable, but we were successful this morning in getting Mommy, Daddy, and Easton ready. We were even a few minutes early to church. Easton was so good...he slept the entire time and then we were even able to go eat lunch. Everyone ooooohhhh'd and aaaaahhhhh'd over him! He was so precious.

11 Days Old!!!

Easton is 11 days old today!! We have been a bit slow updating the blog...don't know where all the time goes! We went back to the doctor on Tuesday and he was all clear...no more jaundice. We were so happy! He is still eating and sleeping well. He has started holding his head on his own for just a few seconds, then we become a bobble head again!
T-Bone and Easton have adjusted well to one another. T is very protective of him, especially when company comes over. Easton is not even phased by T's very loud, very high pitched bark, which is great because we hear it often. One day, they will be best buds, but until then, they will just share nap time!

Easton loves sitting, or sleeping, next to Daddy in the evening. They are usually watching the Cubbies or talking about watching the Cubbies! One day, Mommy is going to get to have some pics with this baby boy!

Update

Easton is doing great. We found out he was jaundice the day we left the hospital so we have had to take him back to Shreveport to his pedi everyday since we got home. We got today off because he had made so much progress; we go back tomorrow and will hopefully get a clean bill of health. We have been using the Bili Blanket. It is a light that fits around him to help with the jaundice and it has worked wonders. We are supposed to leave it on 24/7 but we have to take a break now and then. He now weighs 7 lbs 8 oz and loves to eat!!! He sleeps well and only wakes up a couple of times a night just to eat. He is rarely fussy unless his tummy hurts and that is usually an easy fix! Ben and I have been blessed beyond our imagining. We just want to sit, hold him and look at him. We are also very thankful for all of our family and friends who have been so supportive of us during this special time. There is no doubt about it...Easton is one very loved little boy.

More pics of Easton

Hello all!! We got to bring Easton home on Thursday, September 18th. We were so ready to get him home and get settled in. Before we left the hospital, we found out that he was a bit jaundice. He had to go back to the doctor on Friday and then we had to take him back again today. We are having to use the "Billi" Blanket on him around the clock and he has adjusted well to it. I will take some pics and post them...it makes him look like a little Glow Worm...of course, he is still precious. In his five days of life, Easton has been to Olive Garden twice and McAlister's Deli once...we are keeping up the family tradition of eating out. He does so well. He is either asleep or just wide-eyed and looking around. It has definitely been a change of life for Ben and I, but one that we have surely welcomed. It certainly changes everything, but definitely for the better. It has been very tiring, but somehow, you find the energy to keep going and you never even care because it is so worth it. He is so precious and such a good baby. He grins alot and has a cute little dimple on his right cheek! We have taken tons of photos. I was able to get some pictures of him with his "Going Home from the Hospital Outfit" on. Be was not too thrilled about it because Easton had a blue bow on his little cap. Of course, Ben fought for him to wear home his Cubbies outfit, but luckily, I packed the bag. I told him we should save the Cubbies outfit for when the Cubbies made the playoffs, so that got him quiet. BUT, he has worn the Cubbies outfit everyday since he has been home. Anyway, enough of the talk...I know pictures are better so enjoy!!!

Welcome, Baby Easton!!

Today, at 1:21PM Baby Easton McClain Wulf made his entrance into this world! He weighed 7 lbs 11 oz and was 19 3/4 inches long. He is the most precious thing I have ever seen. Ben was a champ! He was the perfect daddy...a natural. He would not let him out of his sight...I had to ask Ben if I could at least LOOK at him!! This has truly been such a blessing to Ben and I...an absolute God-given miracle. Enjoy the pictures!

Headed to the Hospital

Well, tonight Ben & I are headed to Schumpert to start the labor process. We have to get there after midnight tonight. We are soooooo ready and excited. My nerves have not gotten the best of me yet. My sister is going with us tonight to the hospital...I think Ben might need the support. Of course, our parents will be there early in the morning. I don't think the reality of everything has quite hit me. Of course, I feel very pregnant, but that is only part of it. To think that we will actually be bringing another little person home with us is quite overwhelming and I just cannot wrap my mind around it just yet...but I know I will be able to soon! Just keep all of us in your prayers. If all goes well, we will be home on Thursday, as they will keep us 48 hours after delivery. I plan to take advantage of that!!! Just keep us in your prayers and we will be keeping you all posted! Many Blessings~

Tuesday's Doctor Update

Yesterday was another weekly appointment. I am still progressing, or should I say Easton is making progress. Dr. Friedrich heard the heartbeat and she said that it sounds like he is having a great time in there! I told her I could tell that he was having fun...I get to feel it all the time! She said she expects him to make his appearance any moment now. BUT, we decided that if he not here by Monday, we will go into the hospital in the early morning hours on Tuesday to get the process moving and she will induce. I will be about 39 1/2 weeks at that point and she says that she feels I am a great candidate for induction, so that was very reassuring. It is so hard to believe that he will be here in a week. Ben and I are thrilled about his arrival. I am especially excited to have more of plan, even though I know that he could come at anytime. Keep us in your prayers and we will keep you all posted.

Baby Shower

It was a fun and busy weekend! Easton's Baby Shower was wonderful...he go so many great things!! He will not want for a thing!! He is already so loved!

Weekly Doctor's Visit Update

Today, Ben and I headed to Shreveport for our weekly appointment. I have dialated to 2 cm, have thinned 50% and he is still head down. His heartbeat sounds great! I told Dr. Friedrich that I would look forward to seeing her next week and she said, "You may be seeing me before then!" YEA!!!!! She also said that, if I make it to 39 weeks, she would then induce labor if that is what Ben and I chose to do. I will be 39 weeks on September 14th. Since we do have an hour drive to the hospital, we probably will schedule it.....one less unknown, right?! So, needless to say, Ben and I are thrilled!! We will keep you all posted.............Take care and God bless!

Baby Belly pics

Three weeks to go and we are getting so excited and anxious for Easton to join our family...outside the tummy! I am posting a "belly picture" of Easton and I since everyone keeps telling me I must take pics of my belly. I have really enjoyed being pregnant; it is definitely an experience that I would not take anything for. BUT I know that both Easton and I will be much more comfy once he joins us on the outside!
