Deer Camp

Deer Season is finally here. That means that I get to dress up in clothes that blend in with the outdoors and play hide-and-seek! On Opening Day Eve, we got together and went to the camp behind B.B.'s house. We did everything outside and it was great!!! Oh, and there was this big fire that I was totally fascinated by.......the heat did not scare me, so then Mommy and everyone else were scared! We ate brisket, ribs, chicken, potatoe salad, beans, brownies, cake and dirt (well, I think that I am the only one that ate the dirt.) I had two friends there to play with, Dillon and Anna Claire. We had a fun time keeping our parents running! They said something about having a fenced yard next time, I think. Anyway, the next day, Uncle J took me with him to fill deer feeders and do those things that only guys can do. He was even brave and took me to eat at a sit down restaurant! After I played in the mud, he took me to Busia and Dzia Dzia house so they could clean me up because Mommy was out and about! It is so good to have such a fun and sweet family! Enjoy the pics!

Yaya and I at the deer camp!

Me making my rounds while everyone is trying to eat. I am glad that Gaga and Poppie left their puppies at home........I had a monopoly on the food beggin' game!

Poppy and I.....can you see me?

Dillon and I discussing firewood....very intriguing!

Leaves.....fun to play with, fun to munch on!

Poppie has taught me to tell Mommy, Gaga and Aunt Dee "ehh-ehh-ehh" (which translates into no, no, no!) Oh, and I have to point my finger at them so they get the picture. This could potentially cause even more trouble for me!

Still grazing.......Uncle J seemed to have the quickest fork so that is where I spent most of my time!

Deer camp is a lot for a little boy like me to handle......BUT it was a short lived nap!

Shhhhh, Poppie!

On the way home from Deer Camp, before we even got out of the pasture. What a fun night!

Happy Halloween!

Okay, so no one told me about this whole "dress up and take candy from strangers" gig that took place on October 31st. No complaints here, though! Mommy, Daddy, and I made Halloween cookies. Well, actually Mommy cooked the cookies, I decorated and Daddy monitored to make sure the mess did not get too far out of control. We make a good team! At first, I was not sure about the icing. I mean, it was a lot of fun to play in, but Mommy kept putting on my lips for me to taste and I just did not know about that. Then, all of a sudden, I tasted some...........boy, was it yummy! I then proceeded to put as much of the spatula in my mouth as I possibly could (side note to all of you who ate one of my homemade treats: I licked the spatula only AFTER I finished icing all the cookies!) After the cookie mess, or masterpiece, it was straight to the bathtub for me and then on with the monkey costume. I even let Mommy put the ears on me and did not pull them off. I actually make a pretty good monkey.....I run, climb, and squeel like one! Off we went to trick-or-treat! I went and saw Busia first. I knew exactly what to do when I saw the bowl full of candy! We made a couple of other stops and then off to Nacogdoches to Scare on the Square. We went there because Mommy wanted some good pictures of me from Creative Photography and she got some. I was cooperative and even posed and smiled when Clay took my picture.......I figured I would scare Mommy and Daddy on Halloween by doing what I was supposed to! Then we headed out to the square where there were lots of people with candy......I am pretty sure they were all there to see me because I looked so darn cute dressed up like a monkey. We made our way around the square. I was not too interested in the candy and I think Mommy and Daddy were a little disappointed in that because it messed up their plans to take it all from me! We headed back to Center and Mommy and Daddy dropped me off with Aunt Dee, Poppie and Gaga and disappeared for about an hour.....probably to eat Mexican food in peace! I had some mac-n-cheese and made a few business calls. Then, home we went! Sunday was church. On the way into the nursery, I fell and hit my head on the gravel and it bled!!! I screamed for a few seconds, but then decided I rather play in the nursery than cry. After that, we had lunch, when I turned my booster seat over and clothes-lined myself with the table......cried again. No battle wounds from that, just scared me. Mommy and Daddy were then scared to take me to Tucker's birthday party at "Pump It Up" but I made it through without any other injuries! My cousin Garrett rode with us and we had a fun time. We both snoozed on the way so we would be ready to party and party we did! On the way home, I crashed again. What a fun-filled weekend it was!!! Enjoy the pics!!!!

Happy Fall Y'all!

Hey there, friends!! Well, I am now 13 months old and all the hoopla about turning the big O-N-E has sort of gone away. Now, I am a toddler and sort of left on my own to find my way. Just kidding.......I still recieve directions constantly from all the big people around me. Those directions can be summed up in one really short word......NO. But Mommy and Daddy are really proud of me because I am starting to following instructions. They can tell me to go look for my milk or my pa-pa(pacifier) and I know just what they are telling me to do and I do it. I don't think they are that impressed that I understand what they are telling me.......I think they are more impressed by the fact that I actually FOLLOW the instructions. I am also saying few of my favorite words like mama, dada, pa-pa, and nana (short for banana). Bananas make me really happy......I love them and to be honest, I am sort of tired of Mommy cutting them into bite sized pieces. I can handle the whole banana, for crying out loud!!! Anyway, maybe she will get the picture if I just keep grabbing it away and shoving it in my mouth. And, I also know the word "go." As soon as I hear go, I am headed to the door saying, "go, go, go!" I repeat lots of words. Recently nose and diaper have been my faves. I can even find my nose. I have even started helping Mommy change my diaper. I will start to pull it off if the contents are too uncomfortable. Otherwise, as soon as she lays me down and unfastens it, I grab it and pull it so she can put the clean one on me. She thought that was really sweet and smart of me until it got messy one day! I love to throw stuff in the trash. Just hand me something and say trash and off I go.......somebody has to do it!

On Saturday, Mommy and Gaga took me to Shelbyville, TX. It is a really small community just right down the road from Center. For all you city people, it would be like a suburb of Center. Anyway, one of the shops there hosted a Fall Festival. Mommy thought this would be the perfect backdrop for some cute fall pics of me. They had hay, pumpkins, mums, and the coolest John Deere tractors that I have ever seen. Mommy called them "antiques." I sat on a couple and "drove" them all over the place. After that experience, I feel sure that I want to be a tractor driver when I grow up. Mommy and Gaga did a lot of tasting of the food they had there, and I had some caramel apple which was very yummy to the taste buds! Mommy and Gaga took turns hanging outside with me while the other one went in the shop to look around. I kept trying to go in, but something about too many things me to break and Mommy to buy! I had more fun outside anyway.

Not much else is happening around here except for rain, rain, rain. I did get to finally go outside yesterday and play for long time on my slide and in my sandbox because it was so pretty. Now, today, the rain has returned so back to playing in the cabinets. Mommy got some more pics of me yesterday that she will post later. And.....coming up.......Halloween pictures! My love for bananas has inspired me to be a monkey for Halloween. Mommy is trying really hard to talk Daddy into being a banana...........I will have to get back to you on the success of that one!! Later.....
Oh, and how could I forget. Y'all might want to know the status on my baby sister.......well, all I know is that she is still coming sometime in January!

Oh, these are just for looks?!

Under the tractor was pretty cool too!

Wonder how long it would take me to shred this pretty plant?

Mommy and Me!

Me in "action mode". Oh, did I mention that this is my ONLY mode!!!

Sorry for the confusion!

Those you checking out the blog may notice that the dates on the last two entires are back in August. I actually started updating then, but never actually posted them. I took the easy way out this time and just added to them without starting over. I will do better next time! Later....

It's my party and I'll cry if I want to! I was actually just trying to get daddy to put me down! This is stage one of "The Fit". Usually it gets results, but if not, there are other stages that I can progress too!
Just tilt your head to the left to look at this picture!

Go Shorty! It's your birthday!

HELP!! He is trying to trap me in the tunnel!

Yee Haw!!!

Okay, so mom said that these were swim SHORTS. I guess they are shorts that just fit like pants!

My buddy Cruz and I in the pool!

Poppy carrying Hudsyn and chasing me!

Whose that kid with the Oreo cookie?! It' me! It's me! And boy was it yummy.

These are pics from my first trip to the Houston Zoo. It was pretty cool.....well, the animals were, but the weather sure was not!

Poppy carrying me on his shoulders.

Me in the petting zoo! This did not last too long because I had the urge to pull the goats tail and for some reason he did not like it. He hopped up and ran off, but not before I got me a handfull of his hair! After that, every other animal I tried to pet would turn and walk away from me.......guess word travels fast in the animal kingdom too!

The carousel...........fun times!! Mommy used these as "cool downs!"
