5 Months!!!

Howdy!!! Well, it has been a big week in my life. I finally convinced Mommy that I am ready for some "big people" food, or at least big people food mashed up in a jar. We started with applesauce and have advanced to...................take a wild guess (refer to pics for help).........

Yep, carrots! Man, those things are good. Where has this stuff been all my life? Mommy says I ate the carrots faster than the applesauce. I ate about 90% of the jar and decided I looked cute wearing the rest.

In other news, I was five months old yesterday! Yeah!!!! The world is becoming much more fun! I went to the see Dr. Cush-John today....no shots (whew......) I weigh 16 lbs 14 oz and I am 25.5 inches long. She said that I am growing well. I was glad they gave me my length back since they took half inch last time I went (refer to previous post). The picture below is of me waiting to see the doctor in the exam room. This was my first time in the Wizard of Oz room. Every room is decorated differently and they are really fun to look at! I was glad Mommy snapped this pic when she did because a couple of seconds later, I was face down on the mat, but that was okay too.

After my appointment, Mommy and Saz took me to Olive Garden as my reward for being good at the doctor........or at least that was their excuse. I did get some mashed potatoes that were pretty tasty, but then came the chocolate. Of course, Mommy and Saz only ordered dessert because I might want a bit!! Mommy has read somewhere that chocolate is something that babies should not have until they are a year old because of food allergies! I wish those smart people would just keep that sort of information to themselves!!!! Needless to say, I still got a bite and a shirt change was necessary!

BB got a new puppy named Doc. She only has four, so it only made sense for her get another one!!! Unlike the other ones, this one is just my size. We are pretty good buddies. He really likes to snuggle up next to me. The next three pics are taken in order. I was playing with my basketball tiger, sitting up in my Boppy, minding my own business. I dropped my passy, so I reached down to get it, and Doc decides he wanted to take a nap right behind me. I was able to reach my passy, but Doc had knocked me too far down. It was sort of slow motion but by the pictures you can see who ended up where they wanted to be!!!

The Valentine's Day fairy brought me a huge froggy!!! He is so green and soooo soft that I just want to chew on him. Actually, I want to chew on everything! I was really trying to kiss him and turn him into a Prince Charming for my Aunt Dee!!!

I asked Mommy not to post this picture because I don't want Daddy getting to upset with me, especially while he is away. I know he will see this and I want to apologize in advance. Dad, I am at her mercy!!! Mommy took this at Wal-Mart. She stood me up in the buggy and I thought it was sooooo fun. I just want to set the record straight (Daddy)..........I am not smiling from ear to ear because I am shopping with Mommy at Wal-Mart (even though we down the toy aisle!) I am just happy to be out of my seat and free, if only for a moment!!

It's me, again!

Hello everyone! Happy Valentine's Day to y'all! This post is done especially for my Daddy. Right now, Daddy is gone to the Middle East, so everyone pray that he will return home safely. Mommy always gets more nervous when he travels that area. He was really sad to have to leave, but we look forward to him coming home because he and I are going to hit the golf course! he probably needs to start practicing for his "Annu-Owl Trip". So, for the past couple of weeks, I have been getting to have cerealy in all of my bottles. The doctor said I was ready for it.........bless that woman! I am really packing on the pounds. Mom took me to the doctor a couple of Sundays ago because I was a little sick. I had gained 10 ounces from the previous Tuesday! A boy has to do what a boy has to do! Mom has even been letting me have some apples mixed with my cereal at night. This whole food thing is getting better and better. I am grabbing at everything and Mommy and Daddy are already telling me "No, Easton." I am not so sure about that "no" word, but we will just have to see what happens. I have even started petting T-Bone. In the mornings, while mom is making my bottle, he lays down beside me. This morning, I found his ears and mouth. He is a good dog. He just sits there and lets me do what I want to. I am sure that he will get me into a bunch of trouble in a few years from now......or at least I will tell mom and dad that it is his fault! Anyway, I guess that is all that is going on now. i have my five month check-up on Tuesday, so I will let you all know how it goes (hopefully, no shots!!!!) Take care and Happy Valentine's Day!

The following pic is of me, of course, with Uncle J, Mommy, & Aunt Dee at a party! You cannot see, but Mommy had me dress in my "Sunday Best", but Daddy put my black Chuck Taylor's on my feet so I would be "dressed like a man"! They have many of these battles about my clothes!

Mommy bought me a sippy cup made for kids my age! I loved it, but it was a bit messy. I did require some help from mom. I had a good grip, but could not quite keep it held up.

Chocolate ice cream and I get along really well. It is one of the best inventions I have experienced in my 5 months here!!!!!

Revision!

It's me again.....I had to go back to the doctor last Tuesday to get my 4 month shots that I was "too sick" to get the week before. They took all my measurements again and somehow I managed to grow from 25 inches to 24 1/2 inches AND had already gained a half pound from the week before. I am not too sure how I managed to shrink a half-inch. Mommy said that they must have mis-measured me the week before.....I hope so because this is going to be a bit of a problem if I continue to shrink one way and gain another. We'll see......Anyway, not much has been going on here in Center. The weather has either been yucky or beautiful. Mommy has even taken me out in my stroller for some walks. I love being outside and riding in my stoller since I can sit up in it now and I don't have to always lay down.....that was sort of boring. However, I go get a bit upset if the sun is in my eyes. Mommy and Daddy are on the lookout for some shades that will fit me! I will really be lookin' good then! Well, I hope everyone is doing well and I hope the new year is treating you good. I just heard the microwave go off so that means that rice cereal is just a few minutes away so I best wrap this little session up. See ya!



This is me in my jumperoo.....I just love it!! I don't quite jump yet, but my feet do officially touch the floor now when I am in it so that has made me like it even more! Don't worry......even at 24 1/2 inches, my little piggies still and feet still make it to the floor!

Here are some pics of my battle wounds from the doctor. I am pretty good about the shots. Yes, I scream like someone is cutting my arm off, but once Mommy can pick me up, I am all smiles again!

I really like Tummy Time now that I am pretty strong with my arms, back and neck. I usually roll over.........eventually. I move my legs and my arms but only manage to turn in circles and I can't actually get anywhere yet, but we are working on it!
