Santa came........oh, and so did Emerson!

DISCLAIMER: This is STILL Easton McClain's blogspot despite the pink and glittery green background. I will explain later............

As most of you know, it has been a very busy and exciting time around my house! First things first.........Santa did decide to visit my house. Apparently, there was some question for a bit as to whether he would stop and share his toys but I managed to pull off enough sweetness and good behavior right at the end! Go me! As you can see below, I decided that since Sister was coming soon I should probably get my own place. Santa came through and delivered my new house to Mommy and Daddy's garage.................until I can afford some land. It is equipped with a doorbell, phone and even a sky light! I really like it and hope to have Mommy, Daddy and Emerson over soon for dinner........and then hope that they bring the dinner!

Oh, I also got a work bench. I figured that since I was getting my own place, I should probably ask for some tools to do all those home improvement projects. Mommy is getting concerned because she keeps finding my hammer under Emerson's bassinette.......hmmmmmm

I figured it wold not hurt to leave Santa a little something to munch on for good measure. The cookie that you see is the one that Uncle J and I decorated at Aunt Lisa and Uncle BB's Christmas Eve...........yeah, and I am still trying to get over not winning the cookie contest. I will have my game face on for next year so watch out!

Mommy tried to make this "backdrop" to take Christmas card pics of me but it did not work out so well for her. But, what exactly did she expect after making me wear this sweater!

Mommy, Aunt Dee and I also decorated cookies at BB's one night. I was really into the whole icing thing, but some how all my gingerbread men ended up missing some limbs (like they really need them anyway!)

This pictures was snapped while at breakfast with Santa. I was not too thilled about sitting with Santa........don't tell him I said it, but he is sort of a scary looking thing and there were lots of other kids who agreed! BUT, those candy canes in that bucket looked pretty friendly, so I thought I might try to sneak one without having to interact with the "jolly old soul." Unfortunately, Mommy was not far behind me and I ended up mopping the floor with my clothes instead of capturing a candy cane.

This was at the Christmas parade. This was my first experience with cotton candy. I thought I was supposed to eat the candy, but instead it started eating me!

Okay, so here it is.......the long awaited "picture with Santa". Hope it was everything you hoped it would be, Mommy and Daddy!

Okay, well the last Christmas that was just about me is now over. But I am really excited about having a sister! Emerson Kate made her way into this world on January 13th at 12:48pm. She weighed 6 lbs 14 oz and was 20 1/2 inches long. She was about an inch longer than me and a pound lighter.............of course, I was buff! So, that explains the pink and green and glitter stuff. She and I made an agreement that since this would be her blogspot debut, we could do a girly background, but only I would do the talking. She is pretty easy to convince right now so I figured I should take advantage of it!

This was the most pitiful face I could come up with. I saw Daddy in there with Sister and wanted to either go in there with them or have him out there with me! This picture made everyone feel so sorry for "da bug"! I will have to remember this face!

This picture was taken the night that Mommy left for the hospital. Aunt Dee took it of me........my last night as an "only child". I had no idea what was about to happen! Mommy took me up to Busia and Dzia Dzia's to spend the night. I managed to keep them up until midnight......mission accomplished! Gaga and Aunt Dee took Mommy to the hospital and Daddy met them there because he was in Dallas.

Daddy, Emerson, the top of Mommy's head and me! I just love my daddy and he loves me!

Showing sister some love! She is pretty sweet! I figured I should put my sweetest act on while everyone was looking!

Mommy and Daddy with sister, before I got to meet her.

My sweet sister.....she has 3 dimples!

Thank Heaven for chocolate milk! This was definitely a stressful day for me and I needed some comfort......

Emerson getting ready to come home......to MY house. Good thing she is cute!

Emerson the Punk Rocker! I did not think hair grew until babies were at least 6 months. She is sort of wierd, I guess ;) Just joking, Mommy!

This is one of my faves! Mommy finally asked me if I wanted to hold MY sister......gosh, what took her so long to ask me! Mommy said, "Easton, do you want to hold sister?" I ran over to the chair, hopped up there, and held my arms up. I have learned that when I hold sister, it is a great photo-op for me!

"Don't worry sister! I will not let them get you!"

Hmmmmm.........to take her paci or not to take the paci.....that is the question, as it will be so many times!

Emerson showing off her dimples.
So tiring being a big brother!

....and being a little sister too!

Bath time! At least I don't have to share my bath toys yet!

Hope you all enjoyed meeting my baby sister and seeing what Santa brought me. Stay tuned for updates on what I am doing as I try to do or at least say something new every day.....gotta keep them on their toes. I will also keep you posted on Sister as I try to keep her in line!
